Our Journey
At Hua Yi Secondary School, we believe that technology, when used purposefully, has the power to transform learning. Over the years, we haveworked to build a culture of innovation — one where students are encouraged to
create, communicate, and solve problems in meaningful ways.
A key part of this culture is our Students' Tech Champs programme, where student leaders take the lead in organising technology-based learning experiences for their peers. From promoting the ethical use of Artificial Intelligence and managing screen time responsibly, to helping fellow students leverage their iPads for engaging and effective learning, our Tech Champs embody the spirit of peer learning and digital citizenship that we champion at Hua Yi.
Across our curriculum, Apple tools have been thoughtfully integrated to enrich the learning experience. In Music, students harness the creative power of GarageBand to compose and produce their own musical works. In Art and Design & Technology, Procreate has become an essential tool for students to sketch, design, and bring their creative visions to life. Through our Applied Learning Programme, students use coding to prototype innovative solutions to real-life problems, developing both computational thinking and an entrepreneurial mindset in the process.
Our teachers have been at the heart of this journey. Through ongoing professional development and a shared commitment to student-centred learning, our educators have embraced new approaches to teaching that bring out the best in every learner.
